Glorieta Adventure Camps Response to Coronavirus (COVID-19) - April 8, 2020

At Glorieta, we have been navigating the new reality of COVID-19 with people all over the world. During this time, both Camp Leadership and our Board of Directors have been diligently praying and seeking the Lord for wisdom on what this summer might look like.

As we look forward to Summer 2020 and wrestle over how to accomplish our mission given the new reality of COVID-19, the following are of great concern to us:

  • Bans on large group gatherings
  • Social distancing guidelines
  • Travel restrictions
  • The heightened health risk for all guests, volunteers, and staff.

While we are passionate about and driven by our mission to inspire Christ-like change through outdoor adventure, authentic relationships, and Biblical truth, we also hold the safety and health of our campers and staff of utmost importance. Therefore, at this time, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our regular summer programming (Group Camp, Day Camp and Family Camp) for Summer 2020. However, we are still excited to serve our Rental Groups and Conferences starting July 5th.

In this decision, we know the Lord has done and can do miraculous things and may speed up the overall recovery and eliminate the dangers of COVID-19. As we continue to pray for healing, safety, and God to receive all honor and glory from this circumstance, we trust our decision will contribute to slowing down the spread of COVID-19 and to the longevity of Glorieta Adventure Camps.
